한국원자력의학원에서 6월 26일부터 7월 21일까지 4주간 파키스탄 연구원(Mr Arfan Tariq)을 초청하여 진행한 국제원자력기구(IAEA)‘펠로우십’기술협력 프로그램 수료를 기념하며 2023. 7. 18(화) 수료식을 마쳤다.

On 18th June, KIRAMS celebrated the completion of 4 weeks International Atomic Energy Agency(hereafter IAEA) fellowship program. Mr Arfan Tariq from Pakistan participated for the program as part of a technical cooperation program funded by IAEA.

프로그램에 참여한 파키스탄 연수생은 RI인프라응용팀의 지도하에 4주 동안 원자력 의학원의 핵의학 및 방사성의약품 제조시설을 둘러보며 사이클로트론 기반 방사성의약품의 생산과 품질 향상에 대한 교육을 이수했다.

Under the guidance of division of RI Application Infrastructure, the fellow had a technical tour in radiation and radioisotope production facilities. Moreover, he received an all-encompassing crash course in cyclotron operation, radioisotope production as well as quality control.

수료 기념행사에서 이진경 한국원자력의학원장은 “얼마 전 업무협약을 맺은 파키스탄 공학응용과학연구소(PIEAS)에서 온 연구원과 4주간 IAEA 펠로우십 프로그램을 진행하게 되어 뜻깊게 생각한다”며“더 나아가 추후 파키스탄과 한국원자력의학원의 지속적인 연구협력을 기대한다”고 말했다.

During the completion ceremony, Jin Kyung Lee, the president of Kora Institute of Radiological and Medical Sciences (KIRAMS) said “It is meaningful that we recently signed a memorandum of understanding to conduct a 4-week IAEA Fellowship Program with a researcher from Pakistan Institute of Engineering and Applied Sciences (PIEAS). KIRAMS is looking forward to maintain further cooperation in nuclear medicine with Pakistan.”
