한국원자력의학원에서 5월 29일부터 6월 9일까지 2주간 핵의학과와 RI중개연구팀에서 미얀마 의료진들을 초청하여 진행한 ‘과학기술방문’ 기술협력 프로그램 수료를 기념하며 2023. 6. 8(목) 수료식을 성황리에 마쳤다.

  On Thursday June 8 2023 Dr Wann Maung War War and Dr Oo Su Thet, trainees from Myanmar has completed 2 weeks scientific visit at KIRAMS as part of a technical cooperation program funded by International Atomic Energy Agency(IAEA).

  IAEA(국제원자력기구)가 한국원자력의학원에 요청해 진행 기술협력 프로그램에는 미얀마 핵의학 전문의 2명이 참여했다. 이들은 2주 동안 원자력 병원 현장을 비롯한 외부 관계기관을 둘러보며 전립선암 치료와 관련된 68Ga PSMA와 177Lu PSMA 영상판독기법과 사이클로트론 기반 방사성의약품의 생산과 품질 향상에 대한 교육을 이수했다.

  Under the guidance of division of nuclear medicine department and applied RI, the trainees received an all-encompassing crash course in cyclotron operation and radioisotope production as well as 68Ga PSMA imaging and 177Lu PSMA for prostate cancer patients.

  수료 기념행사에서 이진경 한국원자력의학원장은 “2주간 진행된 이번 프로그램을 통해 우리나라 암 진단 및 치료 서비스의 우수성을 알리고 방사성의약품 생산 및 품질 향상을 위한 모범적인 모델을 제시할 계획”이라며 “더 나아가 추후 미얀마와 한국원자력의학원의 지속적인 의료협력을 기대한다”고 말했다.

  During the completion ceremony, Jin Kyung Lee, the president of Kora Institute of Radiological and Medical Sciences (KIRAMS) said “Through this two-week program, KIRAMS could successfully promote the excellence of cancer diagnosis and treatment in Korea and present an exemplary model for radiopharmaceutical production and quality improvement. KIRAMS looks forward to maintain further cooperation in nuclear medicine with Myanmar.”
